Very very good breakfast with good choice of food, professional staff. Great bed in the a nice size room. Peaceful and the best location, just close to Portsmouth Athenaeum Library. And short walk to the Moffett House garden and many great restaurants / eateries of varying price ranges.

The room here is lovely, well-appointed with central heating, a flat-screen TV, satellite channels, and a microwave, and the staff provides friendly service.

Location and decor were both very nice. Staff was friendly.
Very dissappointed that it offrered room service, but only after five, could not get breakfast. Loud noise, maybe heating system, kept waking me up throughout the morning. Picture of room on website different then room.

location, valet and front desk staff and hotel decor
the bed and bedding were very uncomfortable - and we did try adjust it with the valve on the side of the bed - still very uncomfortable!! Also breakfast buffet staff provided poor service - more interested in talking then serving drinks...

I booked the wrong date with an online website, so when we showed up on the wrong date the guy at the front desk wanted nothing to do helping me correct this problem. No suggestions or sympathy for me and my friends! All he was interested in was booking us for that night.

The hotel is located in a very central area close to downtown restaurants, shopping, and attractions. The rooms are delightful and come with super comfy bedding and a coffee maker. The staff at the hotel are courteous and friendly. The hotel is just a short walk away from an outdoor history museum.

My husband and I came down to celebrate our anniversary and visit some friends. As soon as the staff found out it was our anniversary, we were immediately showered with attention, well wishes and complimentary champagne and strawberries. We were overwhelmed with the staff's generosity, kindness and upbeat personality. The rooms were amazing, the atmosphere congenial and everything was immaculate. We've been talking about it to everyone and will surely be back. Valet service, lounge, rooms, all of it was perfect. Thank you for an amazing weekend.

Very comfortable room with terrific pillows.
There were young children and parents screaming and running around the floor before 7:00 am. This noise coupled with a refrigerator that made unusually load noises made for a very poor bight of sleep. We also called ahead to ha e our car ready and were told that keys were in a big pile and we had to wait.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
